Delhi schools and colleges to reopen from Nov.29 for Physical classes
Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai has informed that Delhi schools and colleges are allowed to reopen and resume the physical classes from November 29th 2021. The order has been passed today.
Previously the schools and colleges were closed from November 13 when the pollution level in Delhi became severe. Now as the conditions became better and pollution level is relatively lower now, the government decided to allow schools to resume physical classes. As for the schools and colleges in NCR, the notice has not been released. Schools in Noida, Gurgaon and Faridabad were also closed on November 13 due to the pollution levels.
Yesterday few groups of parents wrote a letter to the Delhi Governor asking him to intervene and reopen the schools. Already the schools were reopened after a long break due to pandemic imposed restrictions. Meanwhile, the CBSE Board Exams 2021 for Term 1 Classes 10 and 12 continue to be conducted in the schools in the city, as per the schedule.
Delhi Government has also asked all government offices to reopen from Monday. To reduce the vehicular emissions, government has requested the staff to use public transport as much as possible. CNG and Electric vehicles would be given the permission to enter the city from November 27 while the ban on other heavy vehicles run on other fuels would continue till December 3.
